How SaveToDrive works

Remote uploads and cloud-to-cloud transfers, streamed through our servers so your bandwidth stays free.

1

Create an account

Sign up with email and verify your address. No credit card required for the free tier.

2

Connect a cloud provider

Authorize SaveToDrive via OAuth for Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or pCloud. We store encrypted access and refresh tokens — never your files.

3

Start a remote upload

Paste a public URL. We HEAD-request the source to learn size and filename, create a job, and enqueue it for our workers.

4

Or move between clouds

Pick a file from one connected drive and a destination on another. We stream bytes server-side — cloud-to-cloud, no local download.

5

Track progress

Watch live progress in your feed. Get in-app, email, or browser notifications when transfers finish or fail.

6

Quota is counted on success

Only completed transfers count toward your monthly bandwidth limit. Failed jobs do not consume quota.

What we store vs. what we don't

We keep your account info, encrypted OAuth tokens, transfer job metadata (URL, status, bytes used), and notification preferences.

We do not persist copies of your files on our servers. Bytes pass through during an active transfer only.
