Backup

Back up Google Drive to AWS S3

Use SaveToDrive as a simple backup pipe from Google Drive into AWS S3. Transfers run on our workers so your uplink stays free.

Why this works well

  • Object storage is cheap durable capacity for archives
  • Server-side transfer — no overnight laptop uploads
  • Label multiple buckets/accounts and reuse connections

How to do it

  1. Connect Google Drive and add AWS S3 via the S3-compatible connector.
  2. Select the folders or files you want to protect.
  3. Choose AWS S3 as the destination and start the copy.
  4. Confirm completion in your feed or via notifications.

FAQ

Is this continuous sync?

Today you run transfers on demand (or queue batches). Scheduled sync is on the roadmap — not live yet.

Can I back up into a specific bucket/prefix?

Yes. Pick the bucket when connecting AWS S3, then choose the destination path when starting the job.

What counts against quota?

Bytes successfully written to AWS S3. Failed jobs do not consume quota.
