Convert AVIF to JPG

AVIF compresses better than almost anything else, but plenty of apps, older devices, and upload forms still don't accept it. Send your AVIF files to your Drive or Dropbox and get back plain JPG on the way, in one step.

Why this works well

  • No separate converter site — the conversion happens on the way to your drive
  • JPG opens everywhere AVIF doesn't — older apps, some CMSs, most print/photo software
  • One pipeline for the whole batch, whether the AVIF files are on your device or already in a connected drive

How to do it

  1. Connect a destination cloud (Google Drive, Dropbox, or S3-compatible storage).
  2. Upload your AVIF files or transfer them from a connected drive.
  3. Pick JPG as the convert outcome.
  4. We stream the converted JPG into your drive.

FAQ

Why would I need to convert AVIF back to JPG?

AVIF has the best compression of the common web formats, but support for opening/editing it is still spotty outside browsers — plenty of desktop apps, print workflows, and upload forms expect JPG.

Do I lose quality converting AVIF to JPG?

There's a re-encode step since both are lossy formats, but at default quality the difference is negligible for normal viewing and sharing.

Is AVIF → JPG free?

Yes — image converts are included on the free tier within your transfer quota.
